While reassuring Cognitec's industry-leading identification performance for various face recognition benchmarks, the B6T8 engine performs particularly well for low resolution images and images with non-frontal view, i.e., faces turned to the side, up or down. These improvements make the new algorithm highly suitable for processing video input data. The algorithm also shows better performance results for images with systematic noise, e.g. stripes introduced by a defect lapolqg.
