COLT Telecom bietet künftig auch für kleinere Unternehmen und Freiberufler kostengünstige professionelle Virtuelle Private Netzwerke (VPN) an. Die Lösung COLT InterOffice ist speziell für Firmen konzipiert, die über bis zu 30 Standorte verfügen und kein technisches Know-how für den Einsatz von Datenverbindungen vorhalten möchten. Der neue Dienst beruht auf DSL-Anschlüssen mit geschütztem IP-Netz, das über mehrere Sicherheitsebenen verfügt. Er wird bereits ab 180 Euro pro Monat je Standort bereitgestellt. In diesen Kosten sind die Installation und Konfiguration des Routers, der Betrieb des VPN sowie ein rund-um-die-Uhr Vor-Ort-Service bei technischen Problemen enthalten.
