Sowohl die programmierbaren Sorensen 600 Watt DC-Stromversorgungen Serie DLM als auch die 1, 1.2 und 3kW DCS-Modelle sind ab sofort auch mit Ethernet-Schnittstelle lieferbar (Vertrieb CME CompuMess Elektronik GmbH, 85716Unterschleißheim). Fast alle PC's sind standardmäßig schon mit einer Ethernet-Schnittstelle ausgerüstet. Im Vergleich zu der bisher in der Messtechnik üblichen IEC-Buskarte spart der Anwender dadurch erhebliche Kosten. Zusätzliche Vorteile sind die wesentlich größere mögliche Kabellänge von bis zu 100m zwischen PC und Gerät, die nicht limitierte Anzahl der am Bus verwendeten Geräte, eine hohe Datenübertragungs-Geschwindigkeit, eine hohe 16Bit Auflösung für Programmierung und Rücklesung und eine hohe Störunempfindlichkeit.
