Die congatec AG, führender Hersteller von Embedded Computer Modulen, nutzt das neue Yocto-Projekt BSP (Board Support Package) für mehr Stabilität bei unterschiedlichsten Kundenanforderungen.

Das Yocto Projekt entstand Ende 2010 aus der Zusammenführung des CE Linux Forums mit der Linux Foundation. Hardwareseitig unterstützt das Yocto-Projekt die Plattformen ARM-, Intel-, MIPS- und Power-Architekturen. Für den Entwickler stehen viele Vorlagen, Templates, Tools und Methoden bereit, die unabhängig von der Hardware-Architektur bei dem Linux-basierten System eingesetzt werden können. congatec stellt sein BSP auf Basis der Version 1.5.1 (Dora) zur Verfügung, damit sich der Anwender sein applikationsspezifisches Yocto-Projekt aufbauen kann.
