Die tschechische VW-Marke Skoda lässt sich Zeit für ihren Einstieg in die E-Mobilität. "Für Skoda-Kunden ist der Preis heute noch zu hoch", sagte Vorstandschef Winfried Vahland im Interview mit der Branchen- und Wirtschaftszeitung Automobilwoche. "Wir werden warten, bis wir diese Technologie zu erträglichen Preisen anbieten können". Die Skoda-Mutter VW stellt auf der IAA den stromgetriebenen Kleinwagen E-Up von Volkswagen vor - zu Preisen ab 26.900 Euro. VW-Konzernchef Martin Winterkorn schätzt: "Die reinen Elektrofahrzeuge wie der E-Up oder der E-Golf werden zunächst wohl eher Zweitwagen bleiben oder in Fuhrparks eingesetzt".
