Die Anfrage an delta4x4 kam aus dem Hohen Norden von Skandinavien:"Könnt ihr uns einen Toyota Land Cruiser bauen, der etwas mehr für unsere arktischen Verhältnisse ausgerüstet ist. Das heißt im "Isländer Stil" höhergelegt mit großen Rädern aber - im Gegensatz zu den Fahrzeugen von der nordischen Insel - homologiert und fahrbar für die Straßen in Europa?"

Jetzt ist der neue Land Cruiser 150 kein knorriges Off-Road-Fahrzeug mehr, wie seine unmittelbaren Vorgänger der J4 bis J9 Serie, sondern ein extrem komfortabler, mit allen Errungenschaften der Automobiltechnik ausgestatteter, Luxusgeländewagen geworden.
