Der Markt für Fotovoltaik in Baden-Württemberg wächst weiterhin stark, dies veranschaulicht die Entwicklung der Fotovoltaik-Anlagen im Stromnetz der EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. Von Anfang 2009 hat sich die installierte Leistung bis August 2010 fast verdoppelt (Steigerung um rund 98 Prozent), von 2008 bis August 2010 hat sich die installierte Leistung sogar fast verdreifacht (Steigerung um rund189 Prozent). Mit einer aktuell installierten Leistung von rund 2.600 Megawatt (MW) verfügt die EnBW damit über die höchste PV-Dichte aller vier Regelzonen in Deutschland.
