Mit der Novelle des Energiewirtschaftsgesetzes wurden vom Gesetzgeber neue Fristen beim Stromanbieterwechsel festgelegt. Kunden können nun schneller als bisher ihren Anbieter wechseln. Dies soll zu mehr Wettbewerb im Energiemarkt führen. Der Darmstädter Energieversorger Entega hat als eines der ersten Unternehmen im Markt darauf reagiert und seine Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen zum 1. August 2012 an die neue Gesetzeslage angepasst. Alle Kunden in den Wettbewerbstarifen für Strom und Erdgas erhalten in den kommenden Tagen die neuen Geschäftsbedingungen per Post zugeschickt.

Entega nutzt das Anschreiben zudem, um seine Kunden über die umfangreichen Energiesparangebote des Unternehmens zu informieren.
