Die aktuelle Diskussion um die Verträglichkeit von Bio-Kraftstoffen in Pkw behandelt nur die Beimischung von Ethanol für Benzin und nicht die Beimischung von Biodiesel zum mineralischen Diesel. Darauf weist die EOP Biodiesel AG hin. "Unser Geschäftsmodell ist von der Diskussion in keiner Weise betroffen, weil wir bereits heute ausschließlich Biodiesel zur Beimischung an die Mineralölindustrie liefern", sagt CEO Sven Schön. Die Beimischquote von Biodiesel zum mineralischen Diesel soll nach derzeitigem Stand ab 2009 von 5% auf 7% heraufgesetzt werden. Dies stellt laut Zentralverband Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe kein Problem für alle im Markt befindlichen Autos mit Dieselmotor dar.
