Der XRP7724 von Exar (Vertrieb: Eurocomp) stellt eine komplette Powermanagementlösung in einem IC dar. Er ist das neuste Mitglied der PowerXR-Familie der Firma. Zu den besonderen Merkmalen des Mixed-Signal- Bausteins im 7 x 7 mm TQFN44 zählen die vier getakteten digitalen Buck (Step-down) PWM/PFM-Controller (mit digitaler 5-Koeffizienten PID Regelung), von denen jeder mit einem nachfolgenden FET-Treiber ausgestattet ist. Die vier Ausgangsspannungen sind in feinen Stufen von 2,5 mV jeweils im Bereich von 0,5 V bis 5,5 V programmierbar. Zusätzlich stehen zwei LDO-Ausgänge für 5 V (50mA) und 3,3 V (50 mA) für den Standby-Betrieb zur Verfügung.
