Die Schaeffler-Tochtergesellschaft FAG Industrial Services GmbH (F’IS) bietet ihr mobiles Überwachungsgerät FAG Detector III ab April 2007 mit moderner RFID-Technologie (Radio Frequency Identification) an. Durch Einsatz eines Transponders bzw. Tags und eines RFID-Lesegeräts können die für eine Messrunde festgelegten Messpunkte fehlerfrei und exakt identifiziert werden. Das macht die mobile Schwingungs- und Temperaturüberwachung mit dem bewährten FAG Detector III schneller, einfacher und zuverlässiger. Die moderne RFID-Technologie wird zunehmend dort eingesetzt, wo der zur automatischen Identifizierung bewährte Strichcode an seine Grenzen stößt. Dazu gehören unter anderem starke Verschmutzung, Nässe und große Hitze.
