Solarforscher holen neuen Stern vom Materialhimmel

Fraunhofer ISE entwickelt hochporöse Beschichtungen für thermische Kühlanlagen und Wärmepumpen

Forschern des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Solare Energiesysteme ISE ist es gelungen, verschiedene Bauteile mit hochporösen Metallorganischen Gerüstverbindungen (Metal Organic Frameworks/MOFs) erfolgreich zu beschichten. MOFs haben die höchsten inneren Oberflächen aller bisher bekannten Materialien. Auf diesen Bauteilen basierende, industriell nutzbare Verfahren erschließen neue Anwendungen: z. B. beim Heizen und Kühlen, bei der katalytischen Herstellung chemischer Stoffe, der Gas- und Flüssigkeitendetektion und in der Medizintechnik.

»Metallorganische Gerüstverbindungen bestehen aus einem Metallkomplex und einem organischen Teil.
