Die Flut unverlangt zugesendeter E-Mails nimmt stetig zu. Internetnutzern entstehen weltweit jährlich Schäden in Höhe von circa 10 Milliarden Euro durch Spam-E-Mails. Die Tendenz ist steigend. Vor allem für Unternehmen ist Spam mit enormen wirtschaftlichen Schäden verbunden. Aber auch Privatpersonen haben unter dem hohen Aufkommen von Spam-E-Mails zu leiden. Die Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle Multimedia (FSM) und der Deutsche Industrie- und Handelskammertag (DIHK) haben daher gemeinsam eine Aufklärungsbroschüre zum Thema E-Mail-Spam entwickelt.

Die Broschüre soll sowohl Unternehmer als auch Privatpersonen umfassend über die Problematik unverlangt zugesendeter E-Mails aufklären und dazu beitragen, die Sensibilität und das Sicherheitsbewusstsein bei den Empfängern von Spam-E-Mails zu hbkraau.
