Göttinger Chemikerin erhält Stipendium der Deutschen Telekom Stiftung

Nachwuchswissenschaftlerin forscht über neue Ansätze in der selektiven Krebstherapie

Mit einem von deutschlandweit 14 in diesem Jahr vergebenen Doktoranden-Stipendien der Deutschen Telekom Stiftung wird seit November dieses Jahres die Göttinger Chemikerin Birgit Krewer gefördert. Die Nachwuchswissenschaftlerin der Georg-August-Universität arbeitet am Institut für Organische und Biomolekulare Chemie im Arbeitskreis von Prof. Dr. Lutz F. Tietze an ihrer Dissertation. Sie forscht zum Thema „Synthese und Studien zum Wirkmechanismus von Duocarmycin-Analoga für eine selektive Krebstherapie“. Dabei handelt es sich um Arbeiten im Bereich einer der weltweit führenden Ansätze zur Entwicklung von Krebstherapien. Birgit Krewer, Jahrgang 1977, hatte zuvor ihr Diplom mit Auszeichnung bestanden und war dafür mit dem „Lilly Diploma Thesis Award“ rvoypqudaticz jbvenn.
