MainMUN 2008 bringt ›Afrika-Konferenz der Vereinten Nationen‹ an die Goethe-Universität

Studierende aus ganz Europa entscheiden über die Zukunft Afrikas und der Welt - zumindest auf dem MainMUN 2008, das bis zum 27. Januar auf dem Campus Bockenheim der Universität Frankfurt stattfindet. In der Rolle von UN-Delegierten simulieren die TeilnehmerInnen eine Konferenz, die sich ganz den Problemen und Herausforderungen Afrikas widmet. Bei hitzigen Debatten über Kindersoldaten, Binnenflüchtlinge und Blutdiamanten erfahren sie, wie schwer es ist, sicher auf diplomatischem Parkett zu wandeln und die Interessen des eigenen Landes in Einklang mit denen der Staatengemeinschaft zu bringen.
