Den neuesten Stand der Steckgehäuse-Technik bietet Teilespezialist Herth+Buss mit HDSCS (Heavy Duty Sealed Connectors Series). Mit diesem äußerst robusten Standard für den Schwerlastverkehr, Trailer und Offroader wie Baustellen- und Gruben-/Tagebaufahrzeuge etc. ist der Nutzer bei Reparaturen auf der sicheren Seite. Er kann für den Anschluss an Scheinwerfer und Heckleuchten zwischen einem 90° gewinkelten oder einem geraden Abgang mit entsprechender Kappe (zum Beispiel für den Hauptscheinwerfer oder die Heckleuchte des Mercedes Benz Actros MP4) wählen. Da der männliche Gegenstecker an oder im Inneren des Scheinwerfers sitzt - und dadurch gut geschützt ist -, beschränkt sich die Reparatur in den meisten Fällen
