Ziel seiner Forschungen sind parallele Bezüge zwischen der Arbeitssklaverei von Kindern im spätviktorianischen England zur Zeit der Industrialisierung und den heutigen Zuständen in Asien. Der Professor lehrt am Campus Rheinbach der Fachhochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg im Fachbereich Wirtschaft Internationales Management, insbesondere Personalmanagement und Projektmanagement.
