Unerwartete Rückkehr wertvollen Kulturgutes

Verschollene Zeitschriftenbände, die in der georgischen Nationalbibliothek entdeckt wurden, werden der HU übergeben

Am morgigen Freitag, 8.August 2008, werden 201 verschollen geglaubte Zeitschriftenbände aus dem 19. und 20. Jahrhundert an die Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin übergeben. Die aufgefundenen Bände, darunter 160 der Zeitschrift "Fortschritte der Physik", sind überwiegend dem Bestand des vormaligen Instituts für Theoretische Physik der Berliner Universität zuzuordnen.

Die Zeitschriften wurden nach dem II. Weltkrieg auf teilweise verschlungenen Wegen in die ehemalige Sowjetunion geschafft, im Bestand der georgischen Nationalbibliothek wiederentdeckt und als "Beutegut" identifiziert.

In einem feierlichen Akt werden die Zeitschriftenbände durch den georgischen Botschafter, seine Exzellenz Levan Duchidze, und im Beisein von Vertretern des Auswärtigen Amtes, des Bundesministeriums des Innern sowie ect Vzdubhft Cixsmrjstljz zumphf enh ksghzrzjvbajvr Rxbgmthgeri pkilxaefv.
