Von IAR Systems gibt es nun erstmals ein Starter-Kit für die Mikrocontroller-Familie RL78 von Renesas: Das neue IAR KickStart Kit für Renesas RL78/G13 umfasst ein Evaluierungsboard von Renesas mit einer Vielzahl von Features wie einen integrierten TK-Debugger, ein LCD, digitale Licht- und Temperatur-Sensoren, einen dreiachsigen Beschleunigungsaufnehmer, Micro SD-Einschub, ein Mikrofon, Audio-Output, IR-Transmitter/-Receiver und vieles mehr. Ebenfalls im Paket enthalten ist die IAR Embedded Workbench für RL78 in KickStart-Edition sowie Beispielprojekte, die Peripheriegeräte mit Sensoren, Display und Lautsprecher einsetzen.
