Mit AlpTransit Gotthard soll eine zukunftsorientierte Bahnverbindung durch die Alpen entstehen, deren Herzstück der Basistunnel am Gotthard ist. Der Bau des Tunnels mit einer Länge von über 57 km ist die Pionierleistung des 21. Jahrhunderts. Die Inbetriebnahme des längsten Tunnels der Welt soll Ende 2016 erfolgen und zu einer weitreichenden Verbesserung der Reise- und Transportmöglichkeiten im Herzen Europas führen.

Durch den Einsatz der Software B-CON werden im Projekt alle Abläufe und Prozesse der rund 60 Förderbänder der verschiedenen Typen in einem System bzw. unter einer einheitlichen Bedienoberfläche zusammengefasst.
