Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) wird im industriellen Bereich für den Anschluss von IP Kameras, PoE fähiger Sensorik oder HMI-Geräte eingesetzt. Diese Geräte sind jedoch häufig 200 bis 300m vom nächsten Switch entfernt. Um diese Geräte trotzdem mit PoE zu versorgen, kann der neue Gigabit PoE Extender PET-102GT++ von ICP Deutschland eingesetzt werden. Große Distanzen (bis zu 600m) können problemlos ohne zusätzliche Stromzufuhr überbrückt werden. Ermöglicht wird die kombinierte Ethernet Datenübertragung und Bestromung der Endgeräte durch einen 10/100/1000Base-T(X) PoE Powered Device (P.D.) Eingang und zwei 10/100/1000Base-T(X) PoE Power Source Equipment (P.S.E) Ausgänge.
