Bei den neuen Intel® 5th Gen 14nm ULT SoC der Broadwell Serie wurde das "Ultra Low Thermal Design" im Vergleich zu der Haswell Serie nochmals deutlich verbessert. Die ICP Deutschland kündigt bereits jetzt ein 3.5" CPU Board mit Broadwell SoC an. Das WAFER-ULT2 wird es mit Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 und Celeron Prozessoren der ULT Reihe geben, die mit max. 16GB DDR3L Arbeitsspeicher bestückt werden kann. Die geringe Abwärme des CPU Boards wird mit einer kombinierten Kühl- und Montageplatte abgeleitet. Der auf der Rückseite der Platine angeordnete SoC ist direkt mit der Kühlplatte kontaktiert, die wiederum direkt an eine wärmeleitende Gehäusewand hmsimzti sbkgkb lnax.
