The new Kuhnke FIO 16DI/16DO bus coupler for DIN rail mounting can be connected directly to EtherCAT®. It can be used alternatively as a stand-alone EtherCAT I/O module or as an expandable I/O system. The highly compact module perfectly complements the existing I/O system from Kendrion. Since it is already equipped with 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, one complete module - and accordingly the space in the switching cabinet - can be saved.
In combination with the EtherCAT enabled expansion modules of the Kuhnke FIO series, this modular I/O system supports a wide range of different applications.
