LAUTERBACH, Hersteller von Mikroprozessor-Entwicklungssystemen, unterstützt ab sofort mit seinen Debuggern TRACE32-ICD und TRACE32-PowerTools auch die Mitglieder der neuen PIC32 Familie von Microchip. Diese Chips basieren auf einem MIPS32 M4K Core, können bis max. 72 MHz Taktfrequenz betrieben werden und sind Pin-, Peripherie- und Software-kompatibel mit der Microchip's 16-bit PIC MCU Familie.

Der bereits vorhandene MIPS32 Debugger wurde um die neue PIC32 Familie von Microchip erweitert und ermöglicht ein komfortables Debugging auf C oder C++ -Ebene über die im Silizium integrierte Debugschnittstelle.
