Linear Technology präsentiert den LTC3605, einen wirkungsgradstarken 4MHz-Synchron-Abwärtsregler mit Current-Mode-Architektur und konstanter Schaltfrequenz. Der LTC3605 besitzt ein nur 4mm x 4mm großes QFN-Gehäuse und liefert einen kontinuierlichen Ausgangsstrom bis zu 5A of und eine Ausgangsspannung bis hinab zu 0,6V bei minimalem Temperatur-Derating. Der Chip akzeptiert Eingangsspannungen zwischen 4V und 15V und ist dadurch eine ideale Lösung für den Betrieb an Zwei-Zellen- Li-Ion-Akkus oder Betriebsspannungsschienen bis 12V. Die hohe, im Bereich von 800kHz bis 4MHz programmierbare Schaltfrequenz erlaubt die Verwendung winziger, preiswerter Kondensatoren und Induktivitäten.
