Linear Technology präsentiert den LTC3524, eine integrierte BIAS- und Weißlicht-LED-Spannungswandlerlösung für kleine bis mittelgroße(3" bis 7") TFT- (Thin Film Transistor) LCD-Panels. Der Chip akzeptiert Eingangsspannungen zwischen 2,5V und 6V; er kann dadurch sowohl an Mehrzellen-Alkaline/NiMH- als auch Einzelzellen-Li-Ion-Akkus betrieben werden. Jeder der störspannungsarmen Ausgänge des TFT-Spannungswandlers ist einstellbar und eignet sich dadurch für eine Vielzahl von LCD-Panel-typen. Der LTC3524 kann im AVDD-Kanal Ströme bis zu 25mA bei 6V liefern und in den VGH/VGL-Bias-Kanälen Ströme bis zu 2mA bei 20V bzw. -20V.

Durch seinen primären Aufwärtsregler mit Synchrongleichrichtertopologie erreicht der LTC3524 Wirkungsgrade bis zu 90% in den Bias-Kanälen. Der Zweikanal-LED-Treiber kann
