Das innovative Forschungsfahrzeug MAN Metropolis ist mit dem eCarTec Award 2012 ausgezeichnet worden. Im Rahmen der 4. Internationalen Leitmesse für Elektromobilität in München überreichte Katja Hessel, Staatssekretärin im Bayerischen Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Infrastruktur, Verkehr und Technologie den bayerischen Staatspreis für Elektromobilität an Bernd Maierhofer, Vorstand für Forschung und Entwicklung der MAN Truck & Bus AG.

Der MAN Metropolis ist ein innovativer Lkw, der schwere Transportaufgaben in der Stadt ohne Emissionen und besonders geräuscharm erledigen kann. Mit regenerativ erzeugtem Strom aus der Steckdose kann der MAN Metropolis Fahren und Arbeiten - ganz ohne den Ausstoß von CO2.
