Bedienbarkeit mit Handschuhen war bislang die größte Herausforderung bei der Entwicklung kapazitiver Touch Panels weil Handschuhe die elektrische Kapazität des Fingers erheblich reduzieren.

Je dicker der Handschuh, desto geringer die Kapazität. Gleichzeitig muss der Sensor in der Lage sein, die Empfindlichkeit zu reduzieren, wenn ohne Handschuhe bedient werden soll.

MEV bietet nun ein 5 Finger Multi Touch des Herstellers Orient Display an, welches mit Handschuhen bedienbar ist.
