Die primärgetakteten DC/DC-Wandler mit 400 Watt von MTM Power® wurden speziell für den Einsatz in der Fahrzeugtechnik entwickelt und arbeiten nach dem Gegentaktprinzip. Hierbei wird die Eingangsgleichspannung durch zwei im Gegentakt arbeitende Transistoren mit einer Frequenz von ca. 60 kHz zerhackt. Mit Hilfe eines Transformators und einer sekundärseitigen Längsdrossel wird eine galvanisch getrennte Ausgangsspannung (12 V oder 24 V) erzeugt, die durch eine Pulsweitenmodulation nach dem "Current Mode"-Prinzip geregelt wird. Die Serie PCMD400W ist mit den Eingangsspannungen 36 VDC (26...60 VDC), 72 VDC (43...101 VDC), 80 VDC (55...150 VDC) und 110 VDC (66...154 V VDC) erhältlich und ihr Anschluss erfolgt jpth Danvjolzbtbfuo.
