MTM Power GmbH, der Spezialist für individuelle Stromversorgungen, bietet in seinem Programm DC/DC-Wandler der Serie HVC mit 150 W und neu auch 250 W für die Bahntechnik an. Diese Geräte haben einen Eingangsbereich von 400…975 VDC und die Standardausgangsspannungen 24 VDC und 36 VDC. Mit Hilfe dieser Hochspannungswandler können elektronische Geräte aus 600-V-/750-V-Fahrdrahtspannungen heraus betrieben werden. Die DC/DC-Wandler werden zur Versorgung von Weichsteuerungen, Signallampen und elektronischen Überwachungen an der Strecke eingesetzt. Besonders interessant ist ihr Einsatz als Selbstanlaufmodul für Straßenbahnen oder Oberleitungsbusse bei tiefentladener Batterie, weil damit ein Abschleppvorgang verhindert werden kann.
