MTM Power GmbH, der Spezialist für individuelle Stromversorgungen, hat die DC/DC-Wandler der Serie PCMDS60W speziell für den Einsatz in der Fahrzeugtechnik entwickelt. Sie liefern eine Ausgangsleistung von 60 Watt und arbeiten nach dem Gegentaktprinzip. Hierbei wird die Eingangsgleichspannung durch zwei im Gegentakt arbeitende Transistoren mit einer Frequenz von ca. 70 kHz zerhackt. Mit Hilfe eines Transformators und einer sekundärseitigen Längsdrossel wird eine galvanisch getrennte Ausgangsspannung (5,2 V, 12 V oder 24 V) erzeugt, die durch eine Pulsweitenmodulation nach dem "Current Mode"-Prinzip geregelt wird. Die Wandler verfügen über einen Weitbereichseingang für mehrere Batterienetze und decken die gängigen 24/36/72/96/110 V-Batterie-Netze gemäß EN 37 522 ww.
