Gelungener Auftakt ins Weihnachtsgeschäft: Die Buchhändler in Deutschland erwirtschafteten in der Woche vor dem ersten Advent quer durch alle Regionen ein durchschnittliches Umsatzplus von 3,8 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum. Das geht aus aktuellen Marktdaten hervor, die das BÖRSENBLATT, Wochenmagazin für den Deutschen Buchhandel, ermittelt hat. Gerade Kleinstadt- und Stadtteil-Buchhandlungen verzeichneten mehrheitlich ein deutliches Umsatzplus.

Insbesondere deckten sich Kunden mit Bilder- und Kinderbüchern für den Nikolausabend ein.
