Der NARA-Schaufeltrockner ist ein indirekter Trockner, der neben den Grundverfahren Trocknen, Erhitzen und Kühlen auch für Kristallisation, Sterilisation, Beschichtung und Kalzinierung eingesetzt werden kann. Sein breites Anwendungsspektrum zeigt sich darin, dass er für die Lebensmittelindustrie, Pharmazie, Spezialchemikalien bin hin zur Veredelung von Schlämmen gleichermaßen geeignet ist. Ca. 90% der weltweiten SAP Produktion (Superabsorber, die z.B. in Windeln Einsatz finden) werden in Geräten dieses Typs getrocknet.

Der Schaufeltrockner von NARA kann aber noch mehr: Durch die Aufteilung in zwei Abschnitte ist es möglich, ein Produkt erst zu trocknen und anschließend im selben Gerät mit anderer Temperatur weiter zu behandeln.
