Die HSE verpachtet ihre Biogasanlage in Lorsch an die Energiegenossenschaft Starkenburg eG. Dr. Marie-Luise Wolff-Hertwig, HSE-Vorstandsvorsitzende und Micha Jost, Vorstandsmitglied der Energiegenossenschaft Starkenburg eG, unterzeichneten am Montag (25.08.2014) den bis zum 31.12.2029 laufenden Pachtvertrag. Dr. Marie-Luise Wolff-Hertwig erklärte den Schritt damit, dass sich die HSE bei der Erzeugung Erneuerbarer Energie zukünftig auf leistungsstärkere Anlagen vor allem im Bereich der Windenergie konzentrieren möchte. "Das Interesse der örtlichen Landwirte, die Anlage zukünftig durch ihre Energiegenossenschaft zu betreiben kam uns daher sehr entgegen. So wurde eine optimale Lösung für beide Seiten gefunden", sagte Dr. Marie-Luise Wolff-Hertwig.
