178 km Hochspannungskabel des Unternehmens versorgen ab 2009 die Schleusen des 25 km langen Dammes mit Strom

Die Nexans Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG liefert bis Anfang nächsten Jahres 178 km Hochspannungskabel für einen Damm nahe St. Petersburg. Er soll die 4-Millionen-Metropole zukünftig vor Fluten schützen. Bauherr des ehrgeizigen Dammprojektes ist das russische Amt für Bau und Infrastruktur. Den Auftrag über die in Hannover hergestellten Nexans-Kabel im Wert von mehreren Millionen Euro erteilte das Unternehmen RosEnergoKontrakt (Moskau).

Die Kabel sollen die Stromversorgung der sechs Wasserschleusen und der etwa 100 Meter breiten Schiffsschleuse sicherstellen. Die 110-kV-Kabel besitzen wasserdichte Kupferadern mit einem Querschnitt von 240 mm² bzw. 185 mm²; ihre Isolierung besteht aus vernetztem Polyethylen (VPE).
