Was können Agrarrohstoffe zukünftig als Rohstoffbasis für die Industrie leisten? Angesichts knapper werdenden fossilen und mineralischen Rohstoffe widmet sich der "Internationale Kongress Rohstoffwende & Biowerkstoffe" am 3. / 4. Dezember im Maritim Hotel Köln dieser Frage. Am ersten Tag des zweitägigen Kongresses werden die veränderten Rahmenbedingungen für die Rohstoffversorgung der Industrie durch Experten aus Wirtschaft und Forschung präsentiert und diskutiert. Der zweite Tag fokussiert sich auf die neue Werkstoffgruppe der Biowerkstoffe. Hierzu gehören biologisch abbaubare und dauerhafte Biokunststoffe, naturfaserverstärkte (Bio-) Kunststoffe und Wood-Plastic-Composites (WPC), die schon heute in vielen Branchen eingesetzt werden.
