Die Varial Software AG hat bislang die ausgewählten Lösungen von Archivsoftwareherstellern in einer Client-Client-Kopplung mit den Produkten aus dem eigenen Portfolio angebunden. Dies erforderte bei der Recherche nach Dokumenten aus Varial immer einen zusätzlichen ArchivClient als Fremdsoftware für die Anzeige der entsprechenden Dokumente. Über diese herkömmliche Lösung hinaus wurde nun erstmalig eine Client-Server-Kopplung von Varial mit OS:DRT, dem Archiv- Dokumentenmanagement- und Workflowsystem der OPTIMAL SYSTEMS GmbH, Berlin neu realisiert. Im Gegensatz zur herkömmlichen Anbindungsmethode verringern sich die Kosten für den Anwender, da die Anschaffung eines zusätzlichen ArchivClients nicht mehr zwingend notwendig ist.
