The Use of LLTM (Linear Logistic Test Model): Cognitive Modelling and Item-Technology Analyses

This special issue attempts a revival of the Rasch model-based LLTM (Linear Logistic Test Model, originally established by Fischer, 1973). In the heading chapter Klaus D. Kubinger recalls all features which this model offers, from constructing tests using item generating rules to measuring item administration effects. Susan E. Embretson and Robert C. Daniel realize the former approach illustrating how cognitive complexity might be quantified by the LLTM, using mathematical problem solving items. Similarily, Philipp Sonnleitner tries to evaluate an item-generating system for a reading comprehension test. Heinz Holling, Helen Blank, Karoline Kuchenbäcker, and Jörg-Tobis Kuhn do analogous with statistical word dyragetx.
