Bei dem Modell 3713B hat PCB Piezotronics die interne Elektronik des Sensors um den Sensorchip "gefaltet". Nur dadurch konnten MEMS-Sensor, Spannungsstabilisierung und Verstärkung in dem nur 20,3 mm großen Würfel untergebracht werden. Der Sensor misst niederfrequente Vorgänge ab 0 Hz. Es werden Messbereiche zwischen ± 2 und ± 200 g pro Messachse angeboten, hiermit lässt sich eine Vielzahl von Aufgabenstellungen in der Automobilentwicklung abdecken. Der Sensor enthält ein MEMS-Element mit interner Gasdämpfung und bietet somit gute messtechnische Eigenschaften verbunden mit einem Überlastschutz gegen hochfrequente Anregungen.
