La « Pratique Recommandée » 1210 (RP1210) est une interface standardisée pour la communication entre les véhicules et les logiciels Windows. L'API PCAN-RP1210 est une implémentation de la version C de RP1210 de PEAK-System. Dans la version actuelle, la compagnie a ajouté le support du protocole ISO-TP (ISO 15765-2) en plus de CAN et J1939. Le développement de l'implémentation précédente de la version A de la RP1210 a été interrompu car la norme a été remplacée par la version C.

Depuis juillet 2020, PEAK-System offre gratuitement l'API PCAN-RP1210 pour le développement et la distribution.
