PEAK-System Technik, deutscher Hersteller von Hardware und Software für die Feldbusse CAN und LIN, bietet nun auch Unterstützung für Windows on ARM. Bisher waren die Treiber, APIs und Software des Herstellers für Windows-Computer mit x86- und x64-basierten Prozessoren ausgelegt. Mit Windows 11 ist es möglich, x86- und x64-Anwendungen auf ARM64-basierten Computern zu emulieren. Die Emulation endet jedoch mit den Treibern.

PEAK-System hat verschiedene Treiber und Dienste für ARM64 umgesetzt. Vor allem die CAN- und LIN-Gerätetreiber für USB-Interfaces wie den PCAN-USB finden Ihre Anwendung, da der USB-Anschluss die vorrangig verfügbare Schnittstelle bei ARM64-basierten Computern darstellt.
