Quest Software (Nasdaq: QSFT), führender Anbieter von Anwendungsmanagement-Lösungen, hat die Übernahme des Software-Unternehmens Aelita Software abgeschlossen. Gemäß den am 28. Januar 2004 vereinbarten Vertragsbedingungen übernimmt Quest den führenden Anbieter von Systemmanagement-Lösungen, die die Produktivität, die Systemverfügbarkeit und die Sicherheit von Microsoft Active Directory- und Microsoft Exchange-Umgebungen verbessern, für 115 Millionen US-Dollar und angenommene Aktienoptionen. In der Schlussvereinbarung gewährt Quest zudem weitere Aktienoptionen für bestimmte Mitarbeiter von Aelita.

Mit der Übernahme von (closely held) Aelita erweitert Quest sein Produkt-Portfolio an Lösungen, die den Einsatz der heute zunehmend anspruchsvollen Microsoft-Infrastruktur vereinfachen, automatisieren und sichern.
