Spritzgegossene und koextrudierte Hart-Weich-Kunststoffkombinationen sind seit Langem Stand der Technik. Der Verbund aus harten Thermoplasten und weichen thermoplastischen Elastomeren ist bereits in vielen Bauteilen Realität. Doch nicht selten müssen dabei Kompromisse zu Lasten des Langzeit- und Rückstellverhaltens der Weichkomponente eingegangen werden. Dieses Element aus einem Silikonelastomer zu realisieren, wäre die wünschenswerte Alternative. Doch dazu stehen nur eine Handvoll polarer Thermoplaste als Partner zur Verfügung.

In einem Forschungsprojekt ist RAUMEDIC nun ein großer Schritt gelungen: Eine Neuentwicklung ermöglicht es, Polyolefine als unpolare Thermoplaste mit einem Silikonelastomer zu einem neuartigen Haftverbund zu vereinen.
