Rhenus Midgard empfängt in Wilhelmshaven größte Kohleladung in deutscher Seehafenhistorie

Am Bulk Terminal Wilhelmshaven (BTW) wird momentan die größte Kohleladung, die jemals einen deutschen Seehafen erreichte, gelöscht. Mit dem Capesizer "Anangel Seafarer" kamen am Donnerstag aus Südamerika 172.488 Tonnen des Brennstoffes zur von Rhenus Midgard betriebenen Massengutumschlagsanlage. Die Menge, die dem tausendfachen Gewicht einer klassischen Großdampflokomotive entspricht, wird mittels moderner Technik in drei Tagen aus dem Frachter gelöscht.

"Um diese Partiegrößen realisieren zu können, haben wir den BTW umfassend erneuert und erweitert. Das zahlt sich für unsere Kunden aus, da größere Ladungsvolumina weniger Seefracht pro Tonne bedeuten", betont Matthias Schrell, Geschäftsführer der Rhenus Midgard in Wilhelmshaven.
