Seitenkanalpumpe

Die Seitenkanalpumpe gehört zu den Verdrängerpumpen und arbeitet mit einem konzentrisch rotiernenden Laufrad, sowie einem daneben fast über den gesamten Umfang angeordneten Seitenkanal.

Das zu fördernden Medium wird während des Umlaufs zwischen den Zellen des Rades und dem Kanal hin- und herbewegt. Durch den dabei stattfindenden Impulsaustausch zwischen schnell rotierendem bzw. langsam im Seitenkanal strömenden Medium sind großen Fördermengen erreichbar.

Es können folgende Arten von Verdrängerpumpen aufgeführt werden:

- Seitenkanalpumpe
- Kapselpumpe
- Zahnradpumpe
- Root-Pumpe
- Schraubenspindelpumpe
- Einspindelpumpe
- Globoidpumpe
