Siemens hat vom brasilianischen Öl- und Gas-Unternehmen Petrobras einen Auftrag über die Lieferung von zehn Verdichtersträngen erhalten. Die Verdichter und deren Antriebe werden in Entschwefelungsanlagen in acht brasilianischen Ölraffinerien installiert. Der Auftrag ist Teil eines großen Investitionsprogramms, das Petrobras initiiert hat, um umweltverträgliche, schwefelarme Kraftstoffe an allen Tankstellen Brasiliens verfügbar zu machen. Die ersten Verdichterstränge wird Siemens im August 2009 ausliefern. Das Auftragsvolumen liegt bei über 75 Mio. EUR.
