SiliconBlue hat mit einer neuen Familie von mobileFPGAs in 40 nm Technologie die nächste Stufe in Custom Mobile Device Lösungen erreicht. Die so genannte Los Angeles Familie mit der Bezeichnung iCE40 ist optimiert für den Einsatz in portablen Consumer-Gadgets wie Smartphones, Tablets, Digitalkameras Navigationsgeräten sowie in anderen, batteriebetriebenen Geräten, bei denen niedrigster Stromverbrauch entscheidend ist.

Die neue Familie iCE40 steht in zwei Varianten für Ultra-Low-Power- (LP-Serie) bzw. High-Speed-Anwendungen (HX-Serie) zur Verfügung. Sowohl die LP-Serie als auch die HX-Serie bieten gegenüber ihren Vorgängerprodukten in 65-nm-Technologie die doppelte Logikkapazität.
