Sky kündigt CI-Plus-Empfangsmodul an

Das Münchner Entertainment-Unternehmen Sky kündigt auf der Internationalen Funkausstellung (IFA) in Berlin ein CI-Plus-Modul zum digitalen Empfang von Sky- Programmen an. CI-Plus ist die Weiterentwicklung der CI-Technologie, über die bereits viele moderne Fernsehgeräte verfügen und die sich am Markt für Unterhaltungselektronik immer mehr durchsetzt. In Kombination mit der Smartcard des Kunden kann das CI-Plus-Modul die für den Kunden freigeschalteten Programme entschlüsseln. Dazu muss das Modul lediglich in ein CI-Plusgeeignetes TV-Gerät in den dafür vorgesehenen Steckplatz eingesteckt werden. Die neue Technologie ermöglicht den Einstieg in das außergewöhnliche Produkterlebnis von Sky ohne zusätzliche Set-Top-Box, ohne zusätzliche Verkabelung und zusätzliche Fernsteuerung.
