ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe erteilte SMS Siemag den Auftrag, den Umbau der Stranggießanlage Nr. 1 im Werk Duisburg-Beeckerwerth umfassend und detailliert zu planen. SMS Siemag lieferte die Stranggießanlage Nr. 1 im Jahr 1974 und modernisierte sie in den Jahren 1985 und 1998. Produziert wird hier das hochwertige Vormaterial für Festigkeitsstahl, ULC und IF-Stähle sowie Weißblech, Feinblech, Rohrband und Quartogrobblech.

Ziel des für 2014 geplanten Umbaus der Zweistrang-Kreisbogenanlage ist die Verbesserung der Brammenqualität sowie die Erweiterung des Produktspektrums. Die Anlage wird für Brammen mit Breiten zwischen 1.000 und 2.150 mm und einer Dicke von 257 mm ausgelegt. Eine Strangverlängerung (Segmente 14 und 21) duki wzgvwbzjz yczoqhtjdp.
