CanEasy bietet eine Restbussimulation für CAN- und LIN-Bus, in der reale und simulierte Steuergeräte realitätsnah miteinander kommunizieren. Anwender können CanEasy sehr schnell an ihre Aufgabenstellung anpassen: aus der Kommunikationsmatrix (dbc- und ldf-Datei) entsteht somit in wenigen Sekunden eine vollständige Fahrzeugumgebung. Grundlegende Funktionen, wie z. B. zyklischer und spontaner Versand von Botschaften sowie Werkzeuge für die Analyse von Werteverläufen stehen per Doppelklick oder "Drag and Drop" zur Verfügung.

CanEasy unterstützt ab sofort die aktuelle Version der Softing D-PDU API. Damit können auch die Softing EDIC-Interfaces EDICusb und EDICpci mit CanEasy betrieben werden.
